Born in the UK. Raised in Canada and the US surrounded by the distinctive landscapes of Ontario’s Laurentian Plateau region and Washington’s Cascade Mountains.
Attended art college and university in Canada then went on to work in the creative industries in London.
The landscape paintings explore the arrangement of elements on land and sea, both familiar and mysterious. They are a response to our environment – charting expansive scenes – when sky meets land, changing salt marsh grasses, ancient cliff layers and lines of hedgerow.
Recent paintings are about constructed shapes which convey an organic quality and interplay with the atmosphere.
